What a perfect way to see in the New Year- with great friends and a beautiful setting.
BEST BITS of our stay at NAMADGI NATIONAL PARK were:
Wild river swims
Camp cook outs- chorizo in red wine… just saying!
Breakfast of Queens – Eggs, bacon, Halloumi cheese with lemon, crunchy kale cooked in bacon fat, fried zucchini, smashed chocolate cake and tea
TOP COMPANY with like-minded people
The not so good bits:
SNAKE BITE – for one of the little ones in the group. After a night in hospital the little possum was fine.
Freezing cold night we didn’t quite prepare for…. I bought my summer sleeping bag – eek
Here’s a little video with a few extra photos below
Keep an eye out for Indie from Three Feathers slide into the river!

Heading to the river to swim and cool off after setting up camp.
Chorizo in red wine- Oh so YUMMY thanks MELISSA!!!
Keeping it classy with a spot of PIMMS at afternoon tea
My awesome New Years Eve tribe!
Best fire starters ever!!!
Have wheel chair- will bush walk!
The Marsh-mellows over the fire pit went down a treat!!
Just a note- the snake bite was from a juvenile snake and happened right in our camp spot. We are all aware of snakes in the Aussie bush but it can happen super quick at anytime.
Here’s a phone pick of the bite
And here’s what to do in case of a snake bite. SO IMPORTANT TO KNOW – it can save a life.
